Lucknow: The four-day International Festival of World Unity and World Peace ‘Confluence-2025’, organized by City Montessori School, Indira Nagar Campus, was grandly inaugurated this evening at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium by the Chief Guest, Shri O.P. Srivastava, Member of the Legislative Assembly, who lit the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the Chief Guest, Shri Srivastava said that in the present times it is extremely essential to nurture children with human values and make them aware of the importance of unity and peace. He expressed confidence that this international festival would not only polish the multifaceted talents of students but also help make them responsible citizens of the nation. It is noteworthy that ‘Confluence-2025’ is being held from 17 to 20 August at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium, in which nearly 500 students from Sri Lanka, Nepal, and different states of India are spreading the message of unity and peace through various interesting competitions.
Welcoming the participating students and teachers from India and abroad, along with the Chief Guest and other distinguished dignitaries, CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that the primary objective of this event is to promote the ideals of unity and peace among the younger generation. She expressed her belief that this festival would open new gateways to world unity and peace by enabling students from different countries to understand each other’s culture and civilization. During the inaugural ceremony, while the participating student teams introduced themselves in style, the captivating educational-cultural presentations by CMS students enthralled and delighted the entire audience.
Earlier, the students from various countries participating in ‘Confluence-2025’ interacted with journalists at a press conference held at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Speaking to the media, students from Richmond College, Sri Lanka said that they were eager to showcase their talents on this platform of unity and peace, and were confident that the competitions at Confluence would greatly help in their talent development. Students from Saigarmatha Secondary English School, Nepal remarked that this festival would not only test the multifaceted abilities of students through various engaging competitions but would also foster feelings of harmony and brotherhood. Students from Malpi City School, Kathmandu, Nepal expressed their happiness at the warm hospitality of CMS and said that they had come fully prepared to participate in the competitions. Similarly, other participating students from India and abroad remarked that this festival is an international platform that not only nurtures student talent but also promotes harmony and friendship. The Convener of ‘Confluence-2025’ and Principal of CMS Indira Nagar Campus, Ms. Kanika Kapoor, expressed confidence that this festival would develop not only the multifaceted abilities of students but also enrich their humanistic and spiritual outlook.


Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS, informed that the series of competitions under ‘Confluence-2025’ will commence tomorrow on Monday, 18 August, from 8.30 am onwards. The competitions scheduled for 18 August include Symphony of Soul (Group Singing), Craft of Quill (Canvas Making), Scholar’s Spotlight (Paper Presentation), Weavers of Motion (Choreography), Rhapsody of Rhymes (Poetry Recitation), and Ad Mavericks (Creative Advertisement Challenge), among others.
